Red Ribbon Appeal 2026

Terms & Conditions 

  1. The Appeal 
    1. This appeal ("Red Ribbon Appeal") is run by The Gift Group T/A Giftbox Boutique, located at Whangarei, New Zealand ("we", "us", "our") in support of I AM HOPE Foundation ("the Charity"). 
    2. By purchasing a qualifying product, the customer ("you") agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 
  2. Qualifying Purchases  
    1. A donation will be made for each of the following purchases: 
      1. an Advent Calendar gift box (Wine, Beer or Non-Alcohol versions included); 
      2. a gift box upgraded to include a red ribbon; 
      3. Or the Christmas Bundle. 
    2. Each qualifying item purchased triggers one donation. Where a customer purchases multiple qualifying items in a single order, a donation applies to each qualifying item. 
  3. Donation Amount 
    1. For each qualifying purchase, $1 NZD (being the cost of the red ribbon) will be donated to the Charity. 
    2. Giftbox Boutique will match this donation dollar-for-dollar, meaning a total of $2 NZD is contributed to the Charity for each qualifying purchase. 
    3. The donation amount is fixed per qualifying item and does not vary with the price paid for the item or bundle. 
  4. Donation Period and Payment to Charity 
    1. The appeal runs from 7 September to 24 December ("Appeal Period"). Only qualifying purchases made within the Appeal Period are eligible. 
    2. Donations will be aggregated and paid to the Charity by Giftbox Boutique on a periodic basis (at least once following the end of the Appeal Period). Individual per-transaction donations are not paid separately. 
    3. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to publish the total amount raised (customer contribution plus matched funds) at the conclusion of the Appeal Period. 
  5. Nature of the Contribution  
    1. The $1 NZD ribbon cost is included in the purchase price of the qualifying item; it is not a separate, itemised donation made directly by the customer to the Charity, and does not constitute a personal donation receipt for tax purposes.  
    2. Giftbox Boutique, not the customer, remits the aggregated donation to the Charity. Customers seeking a personal, tax-deductible donation should contact the Charity directly. 
    3. This appeal is a promotional and fundraising initiative and is not a request for charitable donations regulated under the Charities Act 2005, as Giftbox Boutique is not itself a registered charity; funds are collected as part of retail sale proceeds and remitted to a registered charity. 
  6. General Conditions 
    1. We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or end this appeal at any time, including changing qualifying products, the donation amount, or the matching arrangement, to the extent permitted by law. Any change will not affect qualifying purchases already completed under the original terms. 
    2. This appeal cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or any alternative benefit by the customer. 
    3. Giftbox Boutique's matching contribution is made at our sole discretion and is not guaranteed beyond the terms stated in clause 3.2; however, once made, will apply to all qualifying purchases in the Appeal Period as described. 
    4. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other New Zealand legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded. 
    5. All representations about this appeal, the donation amount, and the matching contribution are made honestly and are not intended to mislead or deceive, in accordance with the Fair Trading Act 1986. 
  7. About I AM HOPE Foundation 
    1. I AM HOPE Foundation is a registered New Zealand charity. Further information about the Charity's work is available at https://www.iamhope.org.nz/. 
    2. Giftbox Boutique's association with the Charity for the purposes of this appeal does not imply endorsement by the Charity of any specific product beyond the qualifying items named in clause 2. 
  8. Privacy 
    1. No personal customer information is shared with the Charity as part of this appeal unless separately and explicitly consented to by the customer.
