Christmas is a time for giving, and we believe a small gesture can make a meaningful difference. Through our Red Ribbon Appeal, we support New Zealand charities by turning everyday Christmas gifts into an opportunity to give back.
Over the years, we've supported causes that matter to our community, from helping families during Christmas to supporting young Kiwis with their mental health.
Each campaign brings us together with our customers to contribute to organisations doing important work across New Zealand.
What is the Red Ribbon Appeal?
Our Red Ribbon Appeal is a Christmas fundraising initiative that connects festive gifting with charitable giving.
During each campaign, selected gift boxes, ribbon upgrades, or Christmas additions contribute towards a nominated charity. The participating items, donation amounts, and fundraising dates may change from year to year.
By bringing charitable giving into our Christmas activities, we can support local organisations while helping customers understand where each contribution goes.
Our Red Ribbon Appeal 2026: Supporting I AM HOPE
For Christmas 2026, we're supporting I AM HOPE, a New Zealand charity focused on improving mental health awareness and support for young people.
Our appeal runs from 7 September to 24 December 2026. For each qualifying purchase, $1 goes towards the appeal, and we contribute another $1, bringing the total to $2 for I AM HOPE.
How can customers take part in the 2026 appeal?
Three types of purchases qualify for this year's campaign:
- Christmas Advent Calendars: Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic Advent Calendar gift boxes.
- Red ribbon upgrades: Gift boxes with a qualifying red ribbon upgrade.
- Christmas Bundles: Eligible Christmas Bundle additions.
Each qualifying item contributes $2 in total, including our matching contribution.

Red Ribbon Appeal 2021 and 2023: I AM HOPE
In 2021 and 2023, we supported I AM HOPE through our Christmas Red Ribbon Appeal, helping raise funds for youth mental health in New Zealand.
Customers could take part by upgrading their gift box with a festive red ribbon or adding a Christmas Bundle. We contributed $2 for each qualifying ribbon upgrade or bundle.

Our past Christmas fundraising activities have also supported The Salvation Army, which helps New Zealanders facing difficult circumstances.
