Any Koru Member can earn. If you’re not a member yet, it’s free and easy to join.
Airpoints™ are earned on most purchases made through our website. That includes our curated gift boxes, luxury food hampers, corporate gifts, and seasonal collections.
However, some exclusions apply:
- Delivery and shipping costs
- Orders placed with discount codes (only the discounted amount qualifies)
- Some custom, discounted or clearance products
- Cancelled, refunded, or returned orders

At checkout, you’ll see a field to pop in your Koru Number. Add it there and we’ll make sure your rewards are on their way to your Koru account.
Yes! Whether you’re sending client thank-yous, onboarding gifts, or a whole office-worth of Christmas cheer, you can still earn Airpoints. We just ask that you:
- Provide your Koru number before your order is finalised
- Ensure all products in your order qualify (some custom and discounted orders may be excluded)
- Place your order through our team directly or via our website using your

Yes – we’ve got you! If you forgot to enter your Koru number, just email us at hello@giftboxboutique.co.nz within 7 days of your order being shipped. Include your order number and your Koru number, and we’ll do our best to make sure you don’t miss out.
Airpoints™ will usually appear in your Koru account within 7 days of your order being shipped.
Not yet! At this stage, you can earn Airpoints with Giftbox Boutique purchases, but redemption is not available through us. You can find out about Spending Airpoints™ here.
Not just yet. At Giftbox Boutique, you can earn Airpoints – but redemptions need to happen through the Airpoints Store or with Air NZ directly.
No, you won’t see them on your Giftbox Boutique receipt or confirmation email. But they will be credited directly to your Air New Zealand Koru account, and you can track them under your account activity at airnz.co.nz/airpoints or via the Air NZ app.
Absolutely – the rewards go to the buyer, not the lucky recipient. So you get all the credit and the points. That’s what we call a win-win.
If your order is returned for a refund, or cancelled before dispatch, the Airpoints™ for that purchase will be reversed. It’s all about fairness—we want to reward real gifting, not just cart experimentation (as fun as that is).
Yes, as long as the business is a registered Airpoints™ for Business member. Just make sure the Airpoints™ for Business number is added at checkout or sent to us with your bulk order, and we'll make sure the points go to the correct account. If you need help, we’re just a call or email away.
Airpoints™ Terms and Conditions
In partnership with Air New Zealand, Giftbox Boutique customers can earn Airpoints Dollars™ in accordance with the terms and conditions below:
- You can earn Airpoints™ each time you make an eligible purchase of goods at www.giftboxboutique.co.nz
- For purchases to be eligible Giftbox Boutique customers must add their valid Koru member number and email address to their Giftbox Boutique account.
- Airpoints™ are awarded at a rate equivalent to 1 Airpoint™ for every $50 (including GST) spent on the purchase of goods, excluding the cost of delivery.
- We may offer extra Airpoints™ (Bonus Airpoints™) on eligible purchases. These goods and/or the number of Bonus Airpoints™ may change at any time without notice.
- We may also make limited Bonus Airpoints™ offers direct to all or to selected Koru member customers at our discretion.
- Airpoints™ earned through Giftbox Boutique will be loaded onto your Koru account within 7 working days of your eligible purchase having been paid for in full.
- You cannot earn Air New Zealand status points through Giftbox Boutique.
- Giftbox Boutique and Air New Zealand reserve the right to deduct Airpoints™ earned through Giftbox Boutique from your Koru account if the payment on which those Airpoints™ was earned is refunded or dishonoured for any reason.
- By earning Airpoints™ through Giftbox Boutique you authorise us to collect, use and disclose the personal information we have collected from you, including information about your Airpoints™, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Giftbox Boutique Privacy Policy and the Air New Zealand Airpoints Terms and Conditions.
- We may also collect personal information about you on an anonymised and limited basis from Air New Zealand or its other Koru partners, including information about your membership of Koru and about where and when you earn Airpoints™, and share that information with Air New Zealand and other Koru partners.
- We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time by giving you at least 30 days’ notice on our website www.giftboxboutique.co.nz. However, we may without notice:
- change these Terms and Conditions at any time if Air New Zealand changes the Koru Terms and Conditions; or
- stop awarding Airpoints™ to you at any time at our discretion if we cease to be a partner in the Koru Programme.
- We are not responsible and accept no liability for verifying whether you are the person/entity entitled to earn Airpoints™ (including Bonus Airpoints™) in relation to a purchase of goods or whether another person/entity should in fact be the beneficiary of those Airpoints™.
- We are not responsible and accept no liability for any breach by Air New Zealand or its other Koru partners of their obligations to you in respect of the Koru Programme.
