What is the Blue Ribbon Appeal? 

At Giftbox Boutique, we’re proud to support causes that matter—and Father’s Day is the perfect moment to shine a light on men’s health. That’s why each year we run our Blue Ribbon Appeal in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. 

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Kiwi men, and early detection and support make all the difference. By raising funds and awareness, the Prostate Cancer Foundation helps men and their families navigate this journey with strength, care, and access to critical resources. 

How does the Blue Ribbon Appeal work? 

As you shop for Father’s Day, you’ll be given the option to swap our signature black ribbon for a bold blue ribbon on your gift box for just $1. We then match your $1—doubling the impact—and donate $2 for every blue ribbon sold directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. We also donate $2 for every Father’s Day bundle purchased. 

We get asked, have we done this before? And will we do it again? 

Absolutely! We’re committed to giving back through meaningful annual campaigns. You may have seen our Pink Ribbon Appeal for Mother’s Day supporting Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, or our Red Ribbon Appeal for I Am Hope at Christmas. These appeals are now a regular part of our calendar, and we’re proud to grow our impact with each one.
